It’s called ... or rather, it’s about ... see, it describes ... well, let’s just say it’s about a girlfriend who suspects her boyfriend of infidelity, and who proposes to conduct an investigation before committing herself to any girlfriendly activity. You can hear it at her site, myspace.com/riskaydramaqueen, where you will also find her response to detractors who claim the song is a disgrace. (She writes, I made a song about a situation in my life at one point in time,” adding, I make reality music.) The tune is almost as catchy as the concept, and by the end of last year, with some help from bloggers, the song had become an Internet favorite. Riskay’s tricky but not impossible task for 2008: find a way to get a cleaned-up version onto radio.
